I was made aware yesterday that some residents in Chilton Foliat have been experiencing a loss of internet connection. BT Openreach has just responded to my concerns with this update:
"I’m really sorry that residents have experienced interruption with their service. Unfortunately, one of our roadside cabinets was struck by a vehicle and this caused quite a bit a bit of damage to our network and will have affected a number of customer’s service.
"Our engineers have been working hard on repairing this damage and restoring service to affected customers with the help of traffic management so our engineers could access the cabinet safely. The nature of the work needed to put things right meant that customers will have had service restored gradually as work progressed. I’ve spoken to our local engineering team, and they have confirmed that they’ve cleared all the faults that we had reported to us and believe that all affected customers have had service restored."
