Exiting the European Union

Happy new year!

I have had a lot of emails about possible changes to the EU Withdrawal Agreement and I thought I should explain my and the Government’s position as clearly as I can. 

Many thanks to those who have contacted me about the Brexit transition period. 

I have had a number of emails about the Trade Bill and the NHS, following Labour’s amendment which claimed to ‘protect the NHS and publicly funded health and care services in other parts of the UK from any form of control from outside the UK.’

I have had a number of organised campaign emails from constituents calling for an extension of the EU transition period in December 2020. This is my reply to those emails.
