As we move into Autumn, the rain has picked up significantly, and I have already heard reports of some localised flooding. After the repeated storms earlier in the year, it is understandable that people are concerned about the coming rains and what that may mean for their properties.
I have already been in contact with Swindon Borough Council, Wiltshire Council and Thames Water to ask that they accelerate their preventative measures, and to do whatever they can to ensure we don’t see a repeat of the flooding earlier in the year.
The fastest way to resolve any blocked drains or gulleys is to report it to Wiltshire Council directly and you can do this by going to https://www.wiltshire.gov.uk/report-online or by calling 0300 456 0100 - you can report 24 hours/day, 7 days per week. You can also report any issues though their app My Wilts.
