Marlborough to benefit from £950k football pitch thanks to Lionesses Futures Fund - 10 April, 2025

I am very pleased to hear that the Excalibur Academies Trust is set to receive £950k from the Lionesses Futures Fund for a new 3G football pitch at St John's school. The project will enable local grassroots club Marlborough Youth FC to establish an additional nine women's and girls' teams within five years of the pitch opening, and will also be used to host training sessions for the local rugby club. I hope in years to come we will see players from Marlborough joining the Lionesses and representing England!
