I’m incredibly pleased to hear this week's announcement that state schools in my constituency are set to receive more than £2million extra funding from the Government. 

I am sharing this survey on behalf of Alex Montegriffo, a Community Organiser employed by the Trussell Trust in Devizes, working in the community to address local causes of financial hardship.

This afternoon, I spoke in the Opposition Day Debate on children's mental health. 

This morning I asked The Chief Secretary to the Treasury about encouraging the Kickstart Scheme before it runs out in March. I commend the 130 new jobs created in my constituency, for young people under the scheme.

This morning I asked an Oral Parliamentary Question to the Minister of State for Education. I commend the work of Wiltshire College & University Centre and particularly the Lackham campus in my constituency.

Many thanks to those who have contacted me ​​about teachers’ pay.

This week children throughout the constituency are invited to take part in the largest ever consultation with children in England, by completing The Big Ask.

This week the Centre for Social Justice published its report on children in care. This is the product of a commission, chaired by me, looking at the steep rise in children being taken into care and how we can reduce it.

Over the past year Early Years providers have faced many new and unique challenges, including different levels of restrictions to schools. Many are concerned about the impact the past year will have on their future viability.
